Part of our inquiry this term involved a homework task called pay it forward. It's a fortnight long activity where children are given a person who they need to perform random acts of kindness while keeping their identity a secret. It's proven to be a fun and warming activity amongst all the children.
The children then document in their homework books the RAOK (random acts of kindness) they've both given and received writing about how they feel. From a teacher perspective I've definitely noticed a nicer vibe amongst the children.
Jesse recently received a subtle yet artistic note that definitely brightened up his day. "Thank you! That really made my day", he said to his mystery pay it forward person.
